Does using a sat nav or phone in car charger drain the car battery?
Will using a in car charger whilst driving on the motorway to charge my sat nav unit drain my car battery badly? Like wise would using a in car phone charger also drain my car battery significantly?

The only way the Satnav or the mobile charger would drain the battery would be leaving them connected for several days (if your cigarette lighter won’t go off when you take the key out). These king of gadgets have a very low consumption around 0.5 A each in full operation.
If you’re driving, the alternator (the Battery Charger of the car) will keep the charge of the battery. Note that the alternator is build in way to keep the battery charged even when you have the lights on, air conditioner on, radio/CD, fog lights, etc.
If you’re having problems with your battery, better to have it checked by a garage, could be that the battery is getting old and does not hold the charge anymore.
